FAQ:
Below is a recap of up-to-date information relating to all unofficial showcases at San Jac Saloon, Blind Pig and Dizzy Rooster. If you have any questions that aren't addressed here please reach out. We will keep this page updated regularly and this page will also be where the daily schedules are listed during the festival so you can catch each others' sets!
Marketing
-Please promote your shows, tag the venues and presenters of your shows and the other musicians! (SHOWX, BoxCar Entertainment Productions, Keystone Artist Connect).
Backline
-A complete backline will be provided at all our venues. We will provide more details on the specifications of the drums, guitar amps, and bass amps that will be available for all bands to use. Please be patient on exact makes and models of amps, the venues are using a top Austin gear rental company and you can imagine the chaos of their inventory, we are waiting on them for details and they will be listed here as soon as available.
-Singers need to bring their own microphones.
-A professional sound team will be running all of our showcases for the festival at San Jac Saloon, Dizzy Rooster, and Blind Pig.
-There will be plenty of instrument microphones, monitors, and stands. The only things that you or your band members will be allowed to bring inside the venues are instruments and pedals (if needed), keyboard (if needed), microphones for all vocalists, and breakables for your drummer (snare, cymbals, foot pedal, and sticks). DO NOT BRING YOUR AMPS, OR DRUMS; You will not be allowed to bring it in!
-We encourage everyone to be there an hour before and stay an hour after each of their performances. Please be on time for your own showcase and take the opportunity to check out the other bands.
-If you are unable to perform at your scheduled showcase time, please alert someone immediately so that we can ensure the venue knows and we can fill the time.
Merch
-There will be a merch area for you at each venue and you keep 100% of your sales.
Parking
-Parking is tough and cannot be guaranteed. There is a pad lot as well as parking garage behind San Jac Saloon off of San Jacinto between 6th and 7th Street.
-There is a spot to load/unload in the parking lot behind the venue, however you will need to move the car after loading in. (There may be spots in the lot, but it may be full).
-6th Street closes in the late afternoon, so unless you have a day show loading/unloading on 6th Street won't be possible.
